The MEYRA NANO family
With their modern design, the four NANO active wheelchairs cause quite a sensation.The open frame design, already familiar from the Hurricane S, has been further developed in the NANO family, becoming the distinguishing feature for an entire series. Whether folding or with a rigid frame, you can rely on the NANO.
With a variety of frame colours to choose from or by applying reflective stickers each NANO transforms into an individual eye-catcher. And adaptability and handling are second to none. The castor wheel connection is milled from one piece and permanently welded by hand. Fine adjustments can be made to the back, seat, footrest, legrest, side panel and chassis. An extensive range of standard equipment means there is no need for expensive custom design in most cases. Compatibility of parts between the different models enables a high degree of individuality and a fast supply of spare parts.
The folding active wheelchairs
The NANO X and the NANO S are very light, compact and folding active wheelchairs. Both are equipped with a unique folding mechanism. The double cross brace provides stability and ride quality similar to that of a rigid frame. The possibilities for adaptation are as extensive and varied as the users themselves. The swivelling and detachable legrests in combination with the open frame design of the NANO S are a special highlight and a world first. The result is a very compact and airy frame design, making the wheelchair even more nimble and easy to handle.
And as is to be expected from a folding wheelchair, the compact models score particularly well when it comes to loading. The drive wheels, footrest and seat cushion can be removed in a few simple steps without any need for tools. In next to no time, the NANO seat surface can be raised and the wheelchair folded.
The rigid-frame active wheelchairs
The NANO and NANO C are two rigid-frame wheelchairs in the NANO family. The lightweight active wheelchairs are distinguished by the different materials of the open frame design. The frame of the NANO is made of lightweight 7020 aluminium, enabling empty weight of 9.5 kg. The NANO C consists mainly of carbon fibre, an ultralight, ready to drive, high-strength material. Weighing in at just 7.5 kg, the NANO C is the lightest multi-adjustable monocoque active wheelchair.
Top ride performance through individual adaptation. Both rigid frames have additional adjustment options. For example, the axle mount enables adaptation of the rear seat height and the centre of gravity, which is configurable from 15 - 145 mm (only 1.115 NANO). The reduced frame design makes the rigid-frame wheelchairs more compact and also ideal for loading thanks to the standard folding back.
